Meet the Tru Pilates team
Tala Barot
PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Tala started Pilates to strengthen her lower back after her third pregnancy.​ What began as a personal journey soon became a professional pursuit.
Tala earned her Pilates certification through Balanced Body in Dubai and, after relocating to the UK, deepened her knowledge with workshops led by Gloria Gasperi, Jay Grimes, and Sandy Shimoda. She later completed the full comprehensive course in classical Pilates at Pi Studios in London under Holly Murray and continues to refine her practice with this exceptional team.
Tru Pilates was born from Tala’s realisation that Buckinghamshire lacked a fully classical apparatus studio. With Shelly’s support, this vision became a reality in Amersham, bringing the authentic method of contrology to the community.​ Tala’s mission is to help clients feel truly connected within themselves, leaving each session with the understanding that Pilates transforms both mind and body. To her, Pilates is more than exercise – it’s an education in movement that everyone can benefit from.


Anna Godfrey
PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Anna has been teaching and practising Pilates since 2013 and is a fully-comprehensive Pilates teacher, having trained under 2nd generation master trainer, Amy Kellow.

Anna teaches the Pilates method as originally designed by Joseph Pilates himself. She focuses on precise, controlled movements initiating from the powerhouse (or core).
Anna is also a level 4 qualified Personal Trainer, specialising in the management of low back pain and exercise for cancer rehabilitation. Anna holds additional qualifications in pre- and post-natal fitness, exercise referral and is a level 3 / 200hrs Yoga instructor.
Emily Rodgers
PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Emily is a classically and contemporary trained Pilates teacher and former professional dancer with over a decade of experience in the fitness industry. Her international dance career has given her a nuanced understanding of body mechanics, movement efficiency, and injury prevention – insights she brings to every session.
In addition to her expertise in both classical and contemporary Pilates, Emily is also a certified yoga instructor, having completed intensive training in London and Bali. Her diverse background fosters strength, flexibility, and balance in every movement practice she leads.

Emily’s philosophy is simple: movement is medicine. She’s passionate about helping individuals reconnect with their bodies through intentional, mindful movement. Whether you’re looking to improve posture, gain strength, or cultivate overall well-being, Emily’s holistic approach empowers clients to move with confidence and achieve their fullest potential.


Megan Edgar
PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Megan has over a decade of experience in classical Pilates, she trained at Exhale Pilates London and is fully certified in all apparatus. Her Pilates journey began as a way to improve flexibility after years of running, but it became even more essential during her recovery from a major injury. Now, she practices daily and is passionate about helping others experience the benefits of Pilates no matter their starting point or goals!
Megan currently teaches private one-on-one sessions in her home studio in Buckinghamshire, guiding clients to build strength, improve mobility, and deepen their mind-body connection. What she loves most about Pilates is its focus on precision, control, and movement quality-principles she brings into every class. I
Charlotte Draper
PILATES INSTRUCTOR
With over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, Charlotte brings a diverse and dynamic background to every class. A certified Stott Pilates instructor, she has also trained across a range of disciplines including CrossFit Level 1, TRX, Gravity Training, Kettlebells, Gym-Based Boxing, Studio Cycling, Keiser Spin, and Sports Nutrition.

Passionate about precision, Charlotte focuses on technique, form, and functional movement – delivering high-energy, motivating sessions that inspire confidence and control. Whether guiding beginners or experienced practitioners, Charlotte helps every client move better, feel stronger, and truly enjoy the process.​


Abbie Cammidge
PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Abbie discovered Pilates through her own practice, experiencing its impact on both body and mind. Inspired by the results, she went on to complete her classical training in London, deepening her understanding of the full Pilates system and the role of each apparatus plays in building strength, control, and confidence.

Passionate about the classical method, Abbie believes nothing compares to its precision and integrity. She is proud to teach in a fully equipped studio here in Buckinghamshire, and is excited to support clients as they progress through the work.
Nasia Grimani
TEACHER TRAINER
With a background in Physiotherapy and certifications in both contemporary and classical Pilates, Nasia brings a deep understanding of movement and body mechanics to her teaching. She has trainer under some of the most respected names in the industry, including Kathi Ross Nash, Sonje Mayo, Javier Velaquez, Jean-Claude Nelson, and Saul Choza.
As a qualified Teacher Trainer through PI's Full Comprehensive Programme, Nasia is passionate about sharing the authentic method and helping other discover the full potential of their bodies. A former athlete, she uses Pilates to build discipline, strength, and resilience – working with clients of all ages and abilities, from professional athletes to rehabilitation and post-natal clients. ​​
