​Starting something new can often feel uncertain, particularly when you don’t know what to expect. Our 4 Week Beginners Workshop has been thoughtfully designed to remove that uncertainty, offering a clear and structured introduction to Classical Pilates.

 

Through progressive, guided sessions, you will be introduced to the foundations of the method step by step, developing strength, understanding and confidence as you become familiar with the apparatus. With expert teaching and a small, supportive group environment, this programme ensures you begin your Pilates journey with clarity, assurance and the right foundations in place.

How it works

A STRUCTURED INTRODUCTION TO PILATES

Over four weeks, the workshop introduces the Pilates method progressively, allowing your body and understanding to develop step by step. Each week builds on the last, gradually expanding your experience across the apparatus while reinforcing strong foundations.

Once registered, you will be asked to select two preferred times from the options below, and your weekly schedule will be confirmed accordingly:

 

Monday 8:30am or 12:30pm 
Wednesday 7pm or 7:30pm
Thursday 1pm

Friday 7am or 9am

Sessions are led by Megan, Abbie, and Claire, whose depth of experience and commitment to Classical training ensure you begin with precision, understanding and proper foundation. This is not a drop-in experience. It is a guided pathway into the method.

Week 1 – Foundations
You will begin by learning the fundamental principles of Pilates, focusing on alignment, breathing and control. Sessions introduce Mat work alongside the Reformer and Barrels to establish the core mechanics of the method.

 

Week 2 – Strength and Stability
As confidence grows, you will begin to build greater strength and coordination. Work on the Reformer is expanded, alongside sessions incorporating the Tower to develop control through supported resistance.

 

Week 3 – Integration Across the System
This stage introduces a wider range of apparatus, including the Wunda Chair and Barrels. Exercises begin to connect more fluidly, helping you understand how the system works as a whole.

 

Week 4 – Confidence and Progression
In the final week, you will revisit key apparatus including the Tower and Reformer while refining technique and movement quality. By this stage, you will feel more confident navigating the equipment and prepared to transition into regular classes.

Alongside the group sessions, each client receives two personalised private sessions. These sessions incorporate specialised work on the Cadillac, High Chair and Ladder Barrel, allowing teachers to address your individual movement patterns and provide deeper guidance tailored to your body.

Claire is an experienced Pilates teacher with a keen eye for detail and alignment. Her attentive approach helps clients develop correct movement patterns from the start, creating strong foundations for long-term progress.
